Rhiannon Mendoza
MSc Counselling and Psychotherapy
We all experience seasons in life that can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from ourselves. Sometimes, we may wonder if anyone truly understands us. At other times, we may feel like we are losing touch with who we are as we try to meet the expectations of those around us.
Choosing to seek support and allowing ourselves to be vulnerable takes immense courage. Rhiannon strives to honour that courage in every session by offering a space that feels safe, respectful, and free of judgement, where anyone can show up just as they are, without feeling the need to have everything figured out.
Rhiannon believes that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change. She aims to bring her authentic and fully present self into the therapy room and invites clients to do the same. Her work is grounded in the Person-Centred Approach, which holds that every individual already has the innate capacity for growth, healing, and change. She believes that when people feel accepted and free to be themselves, they can reconnect with who they are and discover the inner resources they already hold in their own time. She sees therapy as walking alongside clients as they explore and make sense of their lived experiences. Her role is to meet clients where they are, encouraging them to lead the pace and direction of each session by bringing whatever feels most important to them in the moment.
"Meaningful change begins when people feel truly heard and accepted"

Hobbies & Interests
Rhiannon finds her greatest sense of peace and joy in the ocean. Whether she’s scuba diving, riding the waves or spending time by the shore, being near the sea has always felt like home. She loves old school R&B music and is usually the first one dancing the moment a favourite song comes on. When she’s not by the water, you’ll likely find her on a badminton court, arranging flowers or drawing – small moments that help her feel grounded, creative, and connected to the things she loves.
